Live Painting Performance Piece at the opening of the Conduit, London, 2018

Sometimes I paint things…

More often than not, what I am painting is the essence of a woman as translated through her most intimate geographies (Vulveré: A Witnessing). Sometimes I paint other things… Sometimes I paint using my entire body in a process rooted in the transcendent movement work of BLOOD+HONEY (ROMP). Sometimes I paint at home, at my kitchen table, with my little guy and we see what comes out- see what’s going down in the wild and whimsical world of Sir Blobbington and his blob friends. Here and there, for the right person, I will create a series of works just for their home, just for the love of color and line and good people. Sometimes I don’t paint at all but rather draw, or sew, or collage, or wheatpaste, or create art in abandoned buildings…
